The scientific team analyzed the measurements recorded during the day’s sailing session at Fos sur Mer. They revealed the exact top speed in the 5th run: 52.86 knots.
Alain Thébault: “It is the first time that a sailing boat has crossed the wind barrier, that is, 50 knots. Now all we have to do is to stabilize this speed over 500 meters!”
