SACS Strider 18 : an advanced nautical concept

It is an advanced nautical concept, developed on the criteria of safety, exaggeration and charm. It has been designed and built for long distance and fast offshore cruising.

Its size can be comparable to the one of large yacht respect to which offers unrivaled dynamic qualities. The essential characteristics are the stability, because of a low center of gravity, and the safety, also provided by the inflatable tubes.

The big tubes play an important role in extreme conditions and they also provide a useful reserve buoyancy.
The wheelhouse has been designed to offer a high level of comfort and total protection in a very safe helm position sheltered by the windshield, the hard top and two sliding side doors.

The Strider 18 receives a large number of guests; it has two living areas, one in the cockpit and the other one at the bow, seating for 22 people and about 10 square meters of soft waterproof cushions as sunpad.

The hull is entirely built with vacuum infusion technology to obtain a very strong and very light mega-rib. The finest woods, leathers and marbles or travertine are used by skilled craftsmen and artisans to create original trendy interiors. As a custom made yacht, layout, compartments and furnishings can be modified according to the owner’s requirements.

Under the deck, there are: the owner cabin with long windows overlooking the sea, the guest cabin with a double bed and a single bed, a very useful kitchen rich of cabinets for storage of crockery and food, as well as a bathroom with a separate shower.

At the stern, a tender with 10 hp outboard engine can be loaded in the garage by a davit. The propulsion system consists of two 800 or 1200 hp Man diesel engines coupled with Arneson surface drives, for a maximum speed of 52 knots.
