M/Y Clarena – ex Kooilust Mare

CRN-ClarenaTwo years after the launch of M/Y Magnifica, CRN Shipyard celebrated on March 15, 2003, the launch of M/Y Clarena (Ex Kooilust Mare)”, a 46mt in length displacement vessel in steel and aluminium with soft curves .

The project continues the successful co-operation with CRN’s Engineering and Studio Nuvolari & Lenard, which designed both the exterior and interiors. “Clarena” is impressive for the “stylistic research” on the interiors, which is difficult to define as it is based, above all, on strong contrasts.

A rotating 42″ plasma screen separates the main saloon from the dinning room, which has a round table seating 10 guests. Proceeding towards the bow portside, a pantry gives direct access to a modern professional galley equipped with everything necessary for high quality catering. The owner private area is completed with the full beam master bedroom and a large bathroom with whirlpool bath in black marquinia marble. A plasma TV descends from the ceiling. Stairs lead down from the main lobby to the lower deck and guest cabins. Two other twin guest cabins and a double guest cabin both with shower can accommodate a total of 8 guests.

The engine room is situated astern of the guest area, where two CATERPILLAR 3512 SWAC engines power the vessel to reach a maximum of 16 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 14 knots. The control room, controls all the on-board equipment and is air-conditioned and sound proofed. The crew area also on this deck, is accessed from the galley,  and can accommodate 8 people in 4 twin cabins all with bathroom and a comfortable crew mess.

The captain’s cabin is on the upper deck, next to wheelhouse, which is in mahogany and leather supplied by FRAU, and is equipped with the most advanced on-board equipment. An exterior dining area for 10 people, allows the owner and his guests to dine in total privacy under the shade of the sun deck.

Built under the strict controls of Lloyd’s Register of Shipping, which has followed every phase of its construction, “Clarena” conforms also to the rigid regulations of the Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA).
