Uniesse 54 Sport

01/2006 –

Outstanding design

Construction
The increasingly popular Italian manufacturer Uniesse Marine is based
in Chiuduno, near Bergamo. For the last fifteen years, this shipyard
has been turning out a variety of Open boats, flybridge yachts and
Motor Yachts, ranging from 12 to 24 metres. At 16.4 metres long, the 54
Sport
is the smallest in the Sport series and was first presented a
year ago at the Genoa boat show.

Above deck

With its instantly eye-catching, slender lines, the Uniesse 54 Sport
follows the current trend for electric hard-tops, found on the vast
majority of open boats today. Passageways on the port and starboard
side allow access on board, from either side of the central, aft
sundeck. Another large sundeck is found to the fore of the wheelhouse,
and the hard-top protects the deck saloon to the starboard side as well
as the small, outdoor galley and the helm station. The side catwalks
and handrail that surround most of the boat allow easy access to the
bow sundeck.

The interior finishings are as outstanding as the rest of the boat. A
companionway leads from the wheelhouse down into a fitted galley and
luxurious saloon with a half-moon bench seat. There are three cabins.
The master cabin is in the bow, with its own shower room. In the
centre, the Uniesse 54 Sport has two cabins with twin beds, and an
additional shower room shared by both cabins. The atmosphere can be
summed up in three words: simplicity, luxury and comfort, with the
clear mark of Italian know-how in the impeccable woodwork. Like the
cockpit, the interior decks are all teak.

Engines
As part of the Sport series, the 54 has to offer performance, and is
equipped with 2 x 730 hp MAN engines. The manufacturer claims a maximum
speed of 37 knots and a cruising speed of 32 knots.
