Volterra 25: Daring and beautiful!

11/2007 –

It takes a certain kind of creative madness to want to design and construct a new Walkaround model these days, especially for a French designer, but that is exactly the challenge that Philippe Jouve set himself. Taking the look, quality and comfort of the design to heart, and determined to offer something new on an already well-supplied market, he has produced a very successful result: the Volterra 25.

This very distinctive 25-footer is immediately recognisable by its unique bow design. The Volterra 25 combines traditional charm with a surprising straight bow design, fine entry hull and modern, high-quality fittings.

A newborn she may be, but having tested her at the Cannes boat show, it is clear that the Volterra 25 lacks nothing in maturity. She lifts off very quickly and is surprisingly easy to handle. The boat does not slam against the water (thanks to the fine entry hull design) and turns easily without dipping.

As far as the fittings are concerned, despite the relatively narrow side decks, the deck plan makes for easy movement and comfort on board. What more do you need for a relaxing day at sea than a large teak bathing platform, spacious sun deck, outdoor galley and removable teak table? The Volterra 25 is also pretty spacious below deck, with a 2m x 1.95m cabin, double berth and shower with separate toilet.

The engine is easily accessible thanks to the pneumatic jacks. The Volvo Diesel 190 HP or Volvo Gasoline 5.7 V8 315 HP offer peak speeds of 41 knots.

This is a very enjoyable, easy-to-handle new model in a small and wonderfully designed package. Irresistible!

First deliveries are scheduled for Spring 2008…
