New Briand 120′: Bristolian

An experimented sailor, Mister Michael Cannon, commissioned Philippe Briand to design a 120′ long high performance yacht with out of the box aesthetics.

Briand Yacht Design designed her with performance in mind. The hull has a stretched waterline and moderate beam. Her draft of 5.25 m can be reduced to 3.25 m using her lifting keel.

She is a carbon fibre construction built by New Zealand Yachting Development under the project management of Peter Tabone and consulting of Godfrey Cray.

Layout is centred around a deck saloon. All three guest cabins are very spacious and comfortable.

The aesthetics of the deck superstructures will not only be impressive but also innovative. Bristolian has two pods aft, and a welcoming chill-out area forward with great deck catering possibilities.

Bristolian will be launched at the end of 2007.

Main specifications:

  • Length overall 36.70 m
  • Length waterline 33.39 m
  • Beam 8.15 m
  • Draft 3.25 / 5.25 m
  • Unloaded displacement 130 t
  • Upwind sail area 645 m²
  • Downwind sail area 1,280 m²
