10/2008 –

Green Dragon is the new leader of the Volvo Ocean Race. Ian Walker, the skipper of this boat, has never crossed the Equateur before, but he learns fast! He passed the Fernando de Noronha bound on Oct. 23rdat 12:24 GMT. With a brilliant westward strategy in the Doldrums that saw Green Dragon escape first yesterday, he is now heading to South Africa where the first fight will be judged at Cape Town. The followers, Ericsson 4, Puma and Telefonica Black are not so far behind. The four leaders are just a few miles away, running down to Cape with an average speed of 15 knots, ex aequo at 6 points, so the fight is promissing.
